Supporting Western North Carolina After Hurricane Helene

September 30, 2024 By Lisa Frame Leave a Comment

We are heartbroken by the devastation in Western North Carolina in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Lisa’s entire family resides in this region, and it holds a special place in Ilina’s heart as an adopted daughter of the Old North State.

In the coming days and weeks, we will share ways you can help and bring Handmade NC out of what has essentially been retirement.

One thing we know for certain: the people of Appalachia are resilient. They possess grit and determination, and they believe in taking care of their community.

To those reading this and offering help, know that you are family to this 12-generation Appalachian. We are immensely grateful for your support. While I can’t bake pound cakes for all of you, I can certainly point you toward some exceptional ones.
